CHOOSING THE RIGHT PIECE
Although we have books available to browse through at our store, they serve only as an idea to what can be done. These books give you the chance to see different styles and color combinations. Many people have a hard time visualizing what the final piece will look like, and we try our best to help people get exactly what they want, even when they don't know what that is!

Some things to think about
Quite often, family groups will come in and feel completely bewilderd by the whole process of making decisions, they have had to try to figure out what thier loved one would have liked. We can make this much easier, sometimes it is just a matter of knowing whether this was a gardener, or a "woodsy" person. Sometimes very elegant. From these clues, we can personalize wonderful pieces that gives comfort to the family. People don't always know what a person's favorite color was. It is good to know that with our expertise, we can guide this, too. For example, someone who is optimistic in life often favors the color yellow. Bright pinks, purples, and oranges reflect a vibrant personality. Soft hues depict a person's gentle, graceful nature.
Just knowing a few of these clues will help to get through this, and can usually go much quicker than anybody realizes. Ordering
Because we do not subscribe to any wire service, we do not have the huge photo gallery that you will see on most florist web-sites. These sites are usually supplied by the wire service, and that is also how you order through them, you are actually placing a wire order. The photos are also courtesy of the wire service. As you will notice, we are un-able to process an order through this site, if you would like to place an order, please give us a call at 651-455-7764, Please keep in mind also that we do not always carry the same stock in flowers, so we, (as do all florists) sometimes find it neccessary to substitute with something else if you need it right away. We need at least 2 days notice to replicate an arrangement and get it delivered. When making substitutions, we will still stay as true as possible to the colors and styles chosen, sometimes it is just a matter of a different species of flower to get the same color. |

Adding "Props"
This has become a very popular thing to do. We have added fishing tackle, playing cards, and even a small violin to our pieces. We even once made at piece in a printed grocery sack, with empty boxes of food items and flowers popping out of the top for a grocery store owner who had passed away. We have taken logos for groups and designed them into flower arrangements, and for the Navy, made a complete anchor, the Navy insignia. With a little preparation time, usually 3 days, we can do almost anything imaginable. If you don't have that much lead time, you are always welcome to bring in your own items to be placed in the design, so far we have not found something that cannot be done! We do, however, reserve the right to refuse anything that would be vulgar. |
